Sora Stays is hiring three independent property inspectors — one based in or near Gravenhurst, one in or near Bracebridge, and one in or near Port Carling. This is contract work, paid hourly, for detail-obsessed, reliable people who take pride in getting the small things right and can be counted on every single time.

Please indicate the location closest to you in your application — you'll primarily be covering properties in and around your area.

What You'll Be Doing:
Before every guest checks in, our properties need a final set of eyes on it to confirm it's not just clean, but ready to exceed the guest's expectations.
- Inspect assigned properties at least 24 hours before guest check-in, following our standard inspection checklist (cleanliness, safety, maintenance, supply levels, staging)
- Catch anything the cleaning team missed and do quick touch-up cleaning on the spot
- Handle small maintenance fixes as needed — changing a lightbulb, resetting a thermostat, troubleshooting Wi-Fi, and similar quick jobs
- Flag anything bigger (maintenance issues, damage, safety concerns) right away so it can be dealt with before the guest arrives
- Document your visit with photos and a completed checklist for every property, every time
- Occasionally help out with other in-person guest needs — dropping off an item, helping a guest troubleshoot something on-site, or similar last-minute requests during a stay

We're hiring one inspector for each of the following areas — you should live in or near the one you're applying for: Gravenhurst
Bracebridge
Port Carling

You'll need reliable transportation and the flexibility to travel between properties within your area.

What We're Looking For:
- Incredible attention to detail — you notice the toilet paper roll count, the smudge on the mirror, the wobbly deck railing
- Reliability, above all else. Guests are arriving on a fixed schedule, and a last-minute cancellation leaves us with no way to make sure a property is ready. If you commit to an inspection, we need to know it's happening
- A hospitality mindset — you care about the guest experience, not just checking boxes
- Comfort with basic troubleshooting and small handyman-type tasks (nothing requiring tools or parts you wouldn't normally have on hand)
- Good judgment about what you can fix yourself versus what needs to be reported
- A phone and the ability to send photos/videos and communicate quickly with our team
- Flexibility to take on ad hoc in-person requests for guests during their stay

Important Notes: This is an independent contractor role. You'll be responsible for your own tools, transportation, and taxes. This role is paid hourly. Schedule varies based on guest check-ins/check-outs in your area — some weeks busier than others. You'll be trained on our inspection process and given a standard checklist to follow on every visit
